Gator suspensions reportedly connected to drug tests

And now we know a little more of the rest of the story.

Wednesday, head coach Jim McElwain ultimately confirmed that cornerback Jalen Tabor and quarterback Treon Harris had been suspended for Florida’s Week 4 game against Tennessee. The only reason given for the punitive measures was unspecified violations of university policies.

However, and as is ofttimes the case, additional information has come to light as to what led to the suspensions.

The suspensions will cost each player one game apiece.

The suspension of Tabor looms the largest as he had started two of the first three games of the season. Harris started the opener, but gave way to Will Grier the last two.

Tabor, though, could have some additional explaining to do because of a tweet posted to his Twitter account.
