Reportedly suspended, two JUCO transfers withdraw from Baylor

It appears there may have been some initial confusion on the status of a pair of 2016 Baylor signees.

Tuesday morning, it was reported that offensive lineman B.J. Autry and defensive tackle Jeremy Faulk had been suspended from the team for violating unspecified team rules. Later that day, however, the Waco Tribune reported that the players are no longer with the BU football team and have left the university.

The Tribune wrote that “Autry voluntarily withdrew from the squad while Faulk was released from the team. " BU officials have declined to give any reason for the abrupt departures of the players from not only the team but the university.

Both linemen came to the Bears as junior college transfers this year, and both participated in spring practice.

Exiting the spring, Faulk was viewed as the Bears’ starting nose tackle. Autry was No. 2 on the depth chart and was expected to have a role in a line rotation this season.
