Hurricane Matthew officially pushes FAU-Charlotte back to Sunday

The hurricane moving its way through the southeastern region of the country has forced at least one more weather delay for the world of college football. Florida Atlantic announced a few sporting events being rescheduled for this weekend, including a home football game against Charlotte. FAU previously made a tentative change to the schedule to have the game played on Sunday, but it is now locked in.

As a result of the schedule change due to the weather, FAU and Charlotte will now kick off at noon on Sunday in FAU Stadium. Gates will open 90 minutes prior at 10:30 AM. Fans with tickets who cannot attend the rescheduled game are encouraged to call the box office and arrange for trade in their tickets for a future game.

Florida’s home game against LSU has been called off, at least temporarily until a scheduling solution can be figured out. South Carolina’s home game against Georgia has also been pushed back to Sunday.
