Leave it to Barry Switzer to very colorfully and concisely sum up this current kerfuffle.
The kerfuffle in question involves Switzer’s former program Oklahoma, with Baker Mayfield grabbing headlines -- and his crotch -- last weekend for his histrionics during the win over Kansas. While the Heisman Trophy frontrunner apologized immediately, Lincoln Riley suspended the quarterback for the start of the West Virginia game and stripped him of his captaincy.
Asked by KWTV News 9 about the situation, Switzer placed the blame on a pair of pop icons. And also called people who think Mayfield should’ve been more harshly punished “idiots.”
