SPARTAN RECEIVER PLEADS GUILTY

Michigan State wide receiver Mitchell White has entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor assault and battery charge, the Associated Press is reporting.The charge stemmed from an October 19 fight that involved Spartan hockey player A.J. Sturges. Sturges was hospitalized for a short period of time following the incident.White, whose name was removed from the school’s roster toward the end of the season, is scheduled to appear in court again on March 16. The receiver faces up to 93 days in jail.According to the AP, the university declined the opportunity to comment on White’s situation.
