Amidst swirling uncertainty regarding his eligibility, linebacker Mike Balogun will likely not play in Oklahoma’s regular season opener against BYU.
Right now, Balogun is not on the Sooners’ traveling roster as the NCAA still has yet to conclude its investigation into the LB’s previous “career” as a semi-professional football player.
Head coach Bob Stoops has not completely ruled out Balogun playing this weekend, but the school cannot risk using him until the NCAA makes a determination on his eligibility.
