Gresham to undergo surgery to determine OU fate

The news is not good on the Jermaine Gresham front as head coach Bob Stoops said today the tight end will undergo a medical procedure to determine what future, if any, he has at Oklahoma.

Arthroscopic surgery will be performed in short order to determine the extent of the damage in the All-American’s knee. Based on those findings, Stoops will have a clearer picture as to if/when Gresham will be available.

“It could be two weeks to a year, depending on what they find in there,” Stoops said.

Three MRIs performed on Gresham’s knee have failed to determine exactly what’s at issue. Gresham suffered the injury in practice the week leading up to the season opener.
