A&M’s Fuller out with broken leg

Texas A&M will be without Jeff Fuller for four to six weeks after the wide receiver suffered a broken leg in the Aggies’ win over Utah State.

Fuller suffered a cracked right fibula in the second quarter of the win, two weeks after setting career highs in receptions (10) and yards (111 yards) in the opener.

The sophomore leads the team with 12 catches, and is second in receiving yardage with 136.

In his place, head coach Mike Sherman will turn to a pair of freshman: Brandal Jackson and Kenric McNeal.

“It’s a lot to throw on these guys, but they’re prepared,” Sherman said. “They’ve been getting a lot of reps in practice.”

As the Aggies second-leading receiver yardage-wise -- Uzoma Nwachukwu -- youth will definitely be served at the position for an extended period of time.
