‘Stunned’ Vandy back suspended following arrest

For the second time in as many seasons, a brush with the law has resulted in a suspension for Vanderbilt running back Jermaine Doster.

From the Associated Press:

Vanderbilt has suspended sophomore running back Jermaine Doster indefinitely following his arrest by Nashville police in which they used an electronic stun device to stop him during an early morning fight.

Coach Bobby Johnson confirmed the suspension Tuesday.

Doster was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after police noticed a fight in downtown Nashville. Doster followed some people across the street. The arrest affidavit says Doster kept fighting and officers had to use a stun gun to stop him.

Doster was suspended for the 2008 season after a night club incident left him facing three misdemeanor charges.
