Arkansas 10, Florida 3 at the half

And, yes, it could’ve been worse both ways.

Florida turned the ball over three times in the first half -- including two deep in the red zone -- leading one to reasonably conclude this may not have even been a game minus the fumbles.

Arkansas, on the other hand, failed to capitalize on all but one of the turnovers, leading one to reasonably conclude that the Razorbacks should be heading into the locker room with more than a one-touchdown lead.

That’s not even taking into account Arkansas getting down to the UF 21 on a beautiful Ryan Mallett 46-yard strike -- the sound you heard on that one was the drool of NFL scouts hitting the ground -- to Greg Childs with just over a minute to play in the half, which ended in a field goal when a TD would’ve gone a long way toward making an upset even more realistic.

There were a lot of people who warned this was a trap game for the Gators.

The way the Razorbacks are playing, it’s a trap that may end up catching them a big ol’ Gator in the end.

(Edited to add: Linebacker Brandon Spikes, arguably Florida’s most important defensive player, left the game in the first half with a groin injury and is not expected to return.)
