High school coach: Dez to make NFL leap

In news that should come as a surprise to exactly no one, Dez Bryant‘s high school coach said that the Oklahoma State wide receiver will be leaving the Cowboys and moving on to the NFL.

Bryant was suspended last week until Sept. 2010 for lying to NCAA officials. Today, his final appeal was exhausted, and now he will move on from Stillwater.

“He was here this weekend,” Lufkin High coach John Outlaw told the Daily Oklahoman. “We talked for a long time. He’s going to Tampa to get himself ready for the (NFL) combine.”

Eligible underclassmen have until Jan. 15 to officially declare for the 2010 NFL draft.
