Pair of key Mountaineers look good for Friday

(Here’s to you, Mr. gold77...)

With a huge showdown looming with No. 5 Cincinnati in just two days, it looks as if West Virginia will have two key pieces to their offensive puzzle at their two disposal.

Both running back Noel Devine and quarterback Jarrett Brown injured their ankles in the win over Louisville. There was some concern earlier in the week that one or both could miss Friday’s game, but now head coach Bill Stewart seems cautiously optimistic that both will play.

We are not as bad as we first anticipated,” Stewart said. “Jarrett Brown practiced, that was good to see, and Noel was running around [Monday night]. He was not getting hit in any way, but that was good to see. But Jarrett practiced pretty darn well.”
