Stanford to have Luck on their side today

Andrew Luck was forced to sit out Stanford’s bowl loss to Oklahoma due to a broken finger on his throwing hand.

The same thing should not happen for the start of spring practice.

According to a tweet from ESPN.com‘s Joe Schad, the young quarterback “is expected to practice today” as the Cardinal opens spring practice.

The news does not exactly qualify as a shock as head coach Jim Harbaugh was quoted yesterday by the Contra Costa Times that "[f]rom what I’ve heard, he is throwing fine, and the finger is not bothering him.”

Last season as a freshman, Luck threw for nearly 2,600 yards and had 13 touchdowns against just four interceptions.
