UGA confirms Gray transfer talk

The news broke earlier today, via unnamed sources, that Logan Gray was contemplating a transfer from Georgia and that he was meeting with coaches determined to change his mind.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, those sources were very much correct.

Per UGA’s associate athletics director Claude Felton, the quarterback’s “current status with the team has not changed. However, he is weighing options for the remainder of his playing career.”

Aaron Murray was listed as the starter on the Bulldogs’ post-spring depth chart four days ago, which was apparently the trigger for Gray to consider moving on and continuing his collegiate playing career elsewhere.

If Gray were to leave, Murray would be the only scholarship quarterback remaining on the roster until true freshman Hutson Mason enrolls in the summer.
