How ‘bout some way-too-early Heisman odds?

With the expansion monolith seemingly asleep -- for the moment -- there will be precious little “real” news between now and the start of summer camps, save for the occasional arrest or an injury during “voluntary” summer conditioning drills.

With that in mind, we’re proud to offer up a few 2010 Heisman Trophy odds for those degenerate avid gamblers in the audience.

Even as only one person has won back-to-back Heisman’s since the first stiff-arm trophy was awarded in 1935, 2009 winner Mark Ingram is the very early favorite at +350. Even though I never gamble, I’ll bet you I’ll stay away from the Alabama running back -- I mean, I would stay away from Ingram if, you know, I was a gambler. Which I’m not.

Up next would be Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor at +500 and Ryan Mallett at +1000, followed by seven players at +1200 -- quarterbacks Case Keenum (Houston), Jacory Harris (Miami, Fla.) and Washington’s Jake Locker, along with running backs John Clay (Wisconsin), Dion Lewis (Pittsburgh), Noel Devine (West Virginia) and Evan Royster (Penn State).

Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray and Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder are all at +1500.

If you are into the longest of long shots nearly three months before the season starts, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin, who suffered a torn ACL that cost him most of the 2009 season, comes in at +6000. For the complete list of odds for 26 players -- including Jacquizz Rodgers at a surprisingly distant +2000 -- click HERE.

Like I said earlier, I’m no gambler, but if I were I’m looking long and hard at Moore and Locker. If I were a betting man, of course.
