Backup QB Endres one of two UConn players suspended

A pair of UConn players have gotten on the wrong side of head coach Randy Edsall and/or school policies and have been suspended indefinitely, the school announced via a press release this evening.

Redshirt junior quarterback Cody Endres and redshirt sophomore offensive guard Erik Kuraczea were punished by Edsall for the ubiquitous violation of team rules. The school wrote in the release that they would have no further comment on the matter.

Both players had exited spring practice No. 2 on the depth chart, although Kuraczea was fighting for a starting job on the interior of the Huskies’ line.

Endres started eight games last season, while Kuraczea started five at left guard.
