No change at QB for Pitt just yet

After struggle throughout much of Thursday night’s loss culminated with a blow to the head, Pittsburgh quarterback Tino Sunseri was pulled in favor of Pat Bostick.

That move by head coach Dave Wannstedt, the injury notwithstanding, has led some to wonder whether the move would -- or should -- be permanent.

In his talk with the media Friday, Wannstedt said that Sunseri will remain his starter while also stating the obvious. The sophomore needs to improve.

“No,” Wannstedt said when asked if there would be a change at quarterback. “Pat is as good as there is and Pat will be ready to play.

“Tino needs to make improvement just like everybody else.”

We’re assuming the offensive linemen responsible for some abysmal trench play thus far are included in the “everybody else”.
