Based on how the Missouri Tigers have performed off the field the past couple of months, there appears to be a second part to the famous “Show me” state motto -- “where the beer’s at”.
For the fourth time in less than two months, a member of the football program has been hit with a drinking charge. According to the Columbia Tribune, backup defensive lineman Jimmy Burge was cited for drinking intoxicants while operating a vehicle Saturday night.
Burge, who just turned 21 a couple weeks ago, was found to be under the legal BAC limit of .08. He had been pulled over for making an illegal turn, for which he was also cited.
The sophomore has played in all four games this season and is listed as the top backup to starting nose tackle Dominique Hamilton.
