Buckeye commit suffers bone break in all-star game

One of the good things about playing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is that you get to showcase your football talents one last time at the high school level before moving on to college ball.

One of the bad things is the risk of injury. Unfortunately for an Ohio State recruit, the latter came into play this afternoon.

Centerville (OH) High School defensive tackle Michael Bennett suffered a broken left wrist/forearm in the third quarter as he was attempting to rush the passer. Bennett was taken off the field on a cart, and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Bennett is a four-star recruit according to Rivals.com, and rated as the No. 2 player in the country at his position.

The 6-3, 275-pound defensive lineman has been a verbal commitment to the Buckeyes since May of last year.
