After a spring-long battle, it appears Washington finally has some clarity in the quarterback battle.
If the Huskies were to choose a starting quarterback for their opening game against Eastern Washington based on their spring game yesterday, sophomore Keith Price would appear to have an edge.
Price went 20 of 28 for 212 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another one on Saturday, while his competition, Nick Montana, went 9 of 20 for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
When asked if Price had the lead in the QB competition heading into fall camp, coach Steve Sarkisian said “I would think so. I thought he played well today.”
However, Sarkisian then went on to say that he hasn’t decided if he will name a No.1 quarterback this summer.
Whether it’s Price or Montana, someone will have to fill the large void left by Jake Locker, who went No. 8 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft to the Tennessee Titans.
