USC-Colorado moved to a Friday night

Over the past several months, commissioner Larry Scott has made a sincere and sustained effort to bring additional national exposure to what is now the Pac-12 conference.

Monday, the conference announced yet another move that will aid Scott’s endeavor.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5, the USC-Colorado game has been moved to Friday, Nov. 4, at nine p.m. ET at CU’s Folsom Field. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

“This will be a great opportunity to showcase our entire program and the university,” athletic director Mike Bohn said in a statement. “It was a great atmosphere three years ago for the West Virginia game, and I am appreciative of the cooperation from the Boulder campus to make this happen.”

CU’s release on the schedule change noted that the television network wanted the game moved to Thursday, but that the school requested that the USC game be considered for a Friday telecast.

The Trojans lead the all-time series 5-0. The two schools have not faced each other since September of 2002.

This season will mark the Buffaloes’ first year in the Pac-12 after their move from the Big 12 was made official last summer.
