In a season-opening win over Miami (OH), Missouri defensive end Jacquies Smith suffered a dislocated elbow that left him sidelined the last two weeks against Arizona State and Western Illinois.
Going on the road to top-ranked Oklahoma this weekend, though, the Tigers would probably love nothing more than to have Smith back on the field. And, turns out, they may get their wish.
Smith has been listed on Mizzou’s most recent depth chart and could play this weekend against the Sooners. In what capacity -- starting or otherwise -- is still up in the air. At the time of the injury, it was believed that Smith had a much faster road to recovery than linebacker Will Ebner, who suffered a high ankle sprain against Miami.
