It was fairly well known that Georgia would be without the services of one of their wide receivers for today’s Hot Seat Bowl matchup with Ole Miss. Somewhat unexpectedly, that number has doubled on game day.
UGA released its dress list Saturday morning, and neither Rantavious Wooten nor Marlon Brown (pictured) were on it. Neither player, obviously, traveled with the team to Oxford.
Brown’s unavailability is not unexpected as he’d been doubtful throughout the week of practice leading up to the game with the Rebels.
Wooten, on the other hand, is somewhat of a surprise scratch. The junior was involved in a car wreck earlier in the week and apparently suffered a concussion as a result.
Brown has four receptions on the season while Wooten has two, one of which was a touchdown.
