Crick to return for ‘Huskers-Badgers showdown

Nor only will this weekend’s game with Wisconsin serve as Nebraska’s first-ever conference game in the Big Ten, it will also be one of a handful of games over the next couple of months that will help shape the BcS title picture.

Fortunately for the Cornhuskers, they’ll be at full strength on the defensive side of the ball.

Head coach Bo Pelini said during his Tuesday press conference that defensive tackle Jared Crick will play Saturday against the Badgers. Crick missed the win over Wyoming Saturday due to a head injury suffered the week before.

It eases my pain a little bit,” Pelini said. “It’s just nice to have your guys back and healthy. They all look good out there today, so it was good to see.”

Prior to missing last weekend’s game, Crick had started 31 straight games for the Cornhuskers.
