Good news: Kansas’ Hatch able to move arms, legs

There was a frightening moment Saturday night when Kansas lineman Jeremiah Hatch suffered a head/neck injury during the first quarter of a 47-17 loss to Oklahoma. Hatch remained on the ground for several minutes before being carted off to a local hospital.

Thankfully, however, Hatch will be okay.

He’s fine. He’s now able to move all his limbs and everything,” KU coach Turner Gill said after the game. “They still want to evaluate him in the next 24 hours and kind of see what happens here in the next few days. But I’m glad to see that he is OK, as far as able to move his limbs, because initially, he was not able to move anything.”

Hatch returned to the game later that night. He is listed as questionable for next week’s game against undefeated Kansas State.
