Injuries will sideline pair of Syracuse backs

Syracuse will be without their third-string running back for the Orange’s season-ending game against Pitt on Dec. 3. A win over Pitt would bring Syracuse, currently last in the Big East, to bowl eligibility.

Via an official press release, the school announced that Adonis Ameen-Moore will have season-ending “upper body” surgery this Friday after sustaining the injury on Nov. 17. The freshman out of Colorado had just 12 carries for 40 yards this season.

Additionally, the school announced that fullback Adam Harris must give up football because of a concussion he suffered in the first half of last week’s game against Cincinnati. The school made the decision after assessing Harris’ history of concussions.

Harris transferred to SU from Cornell in 2009 and recorded 10 carries for 31 yards and 10 receptions for 67 yards and one touchdown in his two years with the Orange.
