FSU kick returner could miss bowl game with broken wrist

Wherever Florida State ends up this bowl season, they’ll likely be without one of their kick returns, Karlos Williams.

In his weekly radio show, FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said that Williams, a freshman, sustained a broken wrist in last Saturday’s 21-7 win over Florida, and that he would be out 6-8 weeks.

That’s a shame,” Fisher said. “But sometimes those things heal. Sometimes you can be in a cast for six weeks and they’ll give it (instead) to you to four and depending on how that heals. Everybody heals at a different pace.”

The Seminoles are probably bound for either the Chick-Fil-A bowl or the Champs Sports Bowl. Both would be right around the time Williams could potentially get back on the field.

Williams is the team’s second-leading kick returner this season.
