Poll: Who should play No. 1 LSU in the BCS title game?

With a second-half thumping of Georgia, No. 1 LSU hit the college football trifecta Saturday: an unbeaten regular season (plus one), an SEC championship and one of the two spots in the SEC title game.

Which team deserves the second spot, however, is the subject of much debate and even greater consternation.

Conventional wisdom of those with knowledge of how the BcS operates said that, regardless of what happened on the final weekend of the “regular season”, No. 2 Alabama would be the team. No. 3 Oklahoma State, which did to Oklahoma in Bedlam tonight what the Sooners sometimes do to Texas in the Red River Rivalry, is the only other team with even the remotest of chances to jump ahead of the Tide in the BcS standings.

No. 4 Stanford and No. 9 Boise State -- sorry Houston; that display was a problem -- join the Tide and Cowboys as the only other one-loss teams in the country.

The Tide will likely get the shot at a rematch against LSU. The question is, do they deserve it? And, if not, which team does?

Vote your conscience on that very subject below. And if you don’t have a conscience? Just wing it; nobody will care.
