Four assistants join Freeze at Ole Miss

Just a few days after being tabbed as the new head coach of Ole Miss, Hugh Freeze has recruited four assistants from his coaching staff at Arkansas State.

And it’s largely his defensive staff.

The Jackson Clarion-Ledger reports that Dave Wommack (defensive coordinator), Maurice Harris (tight ends/recruiting coordinator), Tom Allen (linebackers) and Chris Kiffin (defensive line) are following him to the Rebels.

Wommack and Allen have a combined 18 years experience, although Allen spent much of his time at the high school level; Kiffin, brother of USC coach Lane Kiffin, just finished his first year as a position coach for ASU.

The Red Wolves finished with a 10-2 record had top 25 defenses in total yards per game, rushing yards and scoring defense.
