Leading WR one of a dozen ‘Noles to miss spring game

Florida State will be one of a handful of ACC holding their spring game this afternoon. When they do, they’ll be without their leading receiver from last year, along with 11 other players.

The school announced that wide receiver Rashad Greene would miss today’s game with an unspecified injury. Greene had been practicing all spring long, according to the Orlando Sentinel, so Greene must have sustained something recently. There was no word if the injury was serious enough to keep Greene out of fall camp as well.

Greene had 38 receptions for 596 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He also contributed three carries for 44 yards.

The only other skill players out for today are running back Devonta Freeman and cornerback Xavier Rhodes, the others are mostly offensive and defensive linemen. FSU had several o-lineman out last spring as well, so offensive production will definitely be under the microscope.
