Bo Pelini on health scare: ‘I didn’t feel well’ but ‘I’m very healthy’

Bo Pelini‘s health scare on Saturday thankfully turned out to be nothing more than a brief illness. As we touched on yesterday, Pelini was already back at work Sunday in a “business as usual” way.

During Monday’s teleconference, Pelini reaffirmed that he’s in good health and that nothing was seriously wrong.

“I’ve never had health issues and I still don’t. I feel great,” Pelini said. “I didn’t feel well going into the football game.”

Pelini added that the trip to the hospital was precautionary. Though he was alarmed, Pelini said everything checked out fine.

“I’m not just healthy. I’m very healthy,” Pelini said. “I don’t want people to make this out like I’m overstressed, This was an isolated issue... I have tremendous balance in my life. I’m not a real stressed-out person.”

We’ll just say we’re glad you’re okay, coach.

In other health-related news, Pelini added that running back Rex Burkhead will be ready to play against Idaho State, and that he could have played against Arkansas State. Burhhead has missed the last two games with a sprained MCL he suffered in Week 1.
