Nevada CB arrested on alcohol-related charges

An underage college kid drinking? Tis awful, I know.

And so Nevada cornerback Charles Garrett will likely face some form of punishment from head coach Chris Ault for his arrest Sunday for alcohol-related charges, including minor in possession and providing false statement/obstruction with police. The arrest comes one day after Nevada lost to Arizona 49-48 in the New Mexico Bowl.

“I am aware of the incident and am still gathering more information at this point,” Ault said in a statement. “It is my understanding that these are misdemeanors and, if so, this will be handled accordingly under department and football program policy.”

Garrett had 35 tackles, one interception and 11 pass defenses in 2012.
