Miami’s Gabe Terry suspended indefinitely after pot arrest

An off-field incident shortly after the end of spring practice has led Miami’s Gabe Terry to step into it both legally and team-wise.

According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the cornerback was arrested Friday and charged with possession of marijuana as well as resisting arrest without violence. While no details of what led to the arrest are currently available, Terry’s booking information shows he was in possession of 26.8 grams of marijuana (essentially an ounce from what I’ve heard).

As a result of the arrest, Terry has been suspended indefinitely by the football program.

As for Terry’s future with the Hurricanes, Jorge Milian of the Palm Beach Post tweeted that “his name [is] no longer on the roster; history says that is usually end of your UM career.”

In 2012 as a true freshman, Terry played in seven games, mainly on special teams. Terry was a three-star member of UM’s recruiting class earlier that year.
