Tar Heels slap TE Jack Tabb with two-game suspension

North Carolina’s depth at the tight end position has taken a temporary hit thanks to an off-field issue.

In a press release very short on details, the Tar Heels announced that Jack Tabb has been suspended for the next two games. If you’d like to sing along with me, the suspension was due to violation of unspecified team rules.

The suspension will cost Tabb today’s game against Georgia Tech, which serves as the ACC opener for UNC, as well as next week’s game against East Carolina.

This season, Tabb has three catches for 50 yards. On the depth chart released prior to the Yellow Jackets game, the junior was listed as the co-starter alongside fellow junior Eric Ebron.
