Pair of Vols leave football program

Halfway through the 2013 season, Tennessee has seen its football roster suffer a bit of attrition.

Head coach Butch Jones confirmed Friday that wide receiver Vincent Dallas (pictured) and offensive lineman Alan Posey have left the team. No reason was given for the twin departures, although it’s believed the exits were “mutual” and that disciplinary measures were not involved.

Dallas currently leads the Vols in kick return average at 22.2 yards per return. The junior has caught two passes for 22 yards this season, playing in all six games while starting one of those contests.

Posey, a sophomore, has played in two games in 2013.
