Another Gator loss: Tyler Moore breaks arm in scooter wreck

Well of course he did.

Wracked by an inordinate amount of injuries all season long, Florida has suffered yet another one to yet another starter.

According to multiple reports, Gator offensive lineman Tyler Moore was involved in a scooter accident at some point within the past 24 hours. Moore suffered a broken arm in the accident and underwent surgery to repair the damage.

The lineman is expected to be lost for the remainder of the season.

It should be noted that UF has yet to confirm the latest injury setback, although that’s expected to occur at some point today.

Moore won the starting right tackle job coming out of summer camp, thanks to a season-ending injury suffered by Chaz Green. After starting at that spot for five games, Moore, a Nebraska transfer, moved to left tackle because of a knee injury to D.J. Humphries. The MCL sprain could keep Humphries out for up to a month.

AlligatorArmy.com notes that the Gators are now down to two healthy tackles.

Among the players who have sustained injuries, season-ending and otherwise, include quarterback Jeff Driskel, defensive tackle Dominique Easley, right tackle Chaz Green, running back Matt Jones, receiver and kick returner Andre Debose, defensive lineman Damien Jacobs, linebacker Jeremi Powell, linebacker Ronald Powell, linebacker Matt Rolin and defensive back Nick Washington.

Six of the players who have been lost to season-ending injuries were starters.

UPDATED 11:39 p.m. ET: Head coach Will Muschamp confirmed that Moore will be out for the rest of the 2013 season with a compound fracture in his elbow (ouch) sustained in a scooter accident. Max Garcia will replace Moore as the Gators’ starting left tackle.
