The star-crossed playing career of Kain Colter has taken another downward injury turn.
In the first quarter of Northwestern’s game against Michigan State, the starting quarterback went down with what appeared to be an upper-body injury. A short time later on the ESPN broadcast, the official word from school officials is that Colter’s return is questionable due to an upper-extremity injury.
As he has done in the past, Trevor Siemian has taken over under center for the Wildcats.
Northwestern currently leads 3-0 very early in the second quarter of a game in which the Spartans can clinch the Legends division and a spot in the Big Ten championship game with a win.
