LSU RB has warrant issued for arrest, booted from team

Recently suspended freshman running back Jeryl Brazil is no longer a part of the LSU football program. The school announced the roster change Thursday after head coach Les Miles confirmed the decision.

Brazil had a warrant issued for his arrest for an alleged simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, according to The Daily Reveille. The charge is a felony offense, and the incident occurred in November. It is not Brazil’s first apparent run in with the law either. Brazil was indefinitely suspended in October after being issued a misdemeanor summons for simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. He did not return to the field for the remainder of the season for LSU.

Brazil had just two carries this season for a total of 10 rushing yards. He played in just one game this season.
