Kansas State announces sellout for Auburn game

It is somewhat rare for the defending SEC champion to take to the road the following season for a true road game against an opponent from another power conference early in the season, but Kansas State could not be more thankful for the way things shaped up this season. Kansas State announced a sell out for its September 18 home game against Auburn.

“K-State fans have stepped up again and are on the verge of another sold-out season at Bill Snyder Family Stadium,” said Athletics Director John Currie in a statement released by Kansas State. “We are closing in on 20 consecutive sellouts and expect to do so before the season begins, and we appreciate our fans’ support in making Bill Snyder Family Stadium on gamedays the best environment in the Big 12.”

Auburn is 3-0 in the series against Kansas State. The series dates back to 1978 and the last meeting came in 2007.
