Tide’s DeAndrew White has toe issue; game-time decision vs. Rebels

As it turns out, there’s another injury issue that leaves DeAndrew White‘s availability for this Saturday’s huge SEC West showdown up in the air.

The Alabama wide receiver suffered a shoulder injury in the season opener against West Virginia and missed the next two games. White returned for the win over Florida Sept. 20... and promptly suffered some type of toe injury, which had previously gone unreported.

Nick Saban acknowledged the latest issue during his radio show Thursday night, saying that the player has “been a little unlucky when it comes to injuries.” The head coach stated that White should be available for the Ole Miss game, but a final decision will be a game-time one.

I think he will be available to play, I just don’t know how much he’ll be able to play in the game,” Saban said Thursday night on his radio show. “We’re hoping to spot play him, but it will probably be a decision we make in the pregame depending on how he’s moving around.”

With the Tide on a bye, White didn’t practice at all last week. This week, his practice time was limited.

Despite missing two full games and being dinged during the other two, White’s still second on the team in receptions with 12 and fourth in receiving yards with 121.
