Ok. St.'s Tyreek Hill arrested on felony domestic complaint

Last weekend, Tyreek Hill was the hero of Bedlam, sending a game Oklahoma State ultimately won into overtime with a late punt return for a touchdown. Less than a week later, Hill is making headlines for all of the wrong reasons.

According to The Oklahoman, Hills was arrested late Thursday night on a felony complaint of domestic violence. The incident involved Hill’s girlfriend, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The unidentified female told responding officers from the Stillwater Police Department that she and Hill were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated and became physical. After that escalation, the female alleged that Hill hit her in the face and stomach and choked her.

Officially, Hill is facing a “Domestic Abuse by Strangulation” complaint as a result. OSU has yet to address the rather disturbing development, although it would seem that his availability for OSU’s Cactus Bowl game against Washington Jan. 2 is in jeopardy.

The junior, officially listed as an “athlete” on the Cowboys’ official website, came to OSU in January of this year from the JUCO ranks. Wednesday, Hill was named as the Big 12’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

One of the fastest players at the FBS level -- after enrolling in January, he won the Big 12 indoor title in the 200 meters -- Hill ranked 14th nationally in both punt and kick return average. He was also second on the team in rushing and fourth in receiving yards.
