UCF DB Chris Williams hospitalized after twice being shot in arm

UCF football player Chris Williams is recovering in a hospital this weekend after being shot. The Orlando Sentinel reports the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, and UCF officials are still gathering information about the incident involving the defensive back.

Williams has been active on Twitter retweeting messages wishing him well during his hospital stay, which would appear to be a good sign. Williams took to Facebook to provide an update on his status as well, saying he had been shot in the arm twice.

Williams spent last season as a member of UCF’s scout team, using a redshirt year as a true freshman. In UCF’s spring game, Williams recorded 10 tackles and an interception, which was returned for 52 yards.
