Ex-Okla. St., Miami lineman will give Southern Miss a try

Will the third time be a charm for Naim Mustafaa?

Time will tell, but Southern Miss is apparently the latest to give the defensive lineman a chance, with Jason Munz of the Hattiesburg American reporting that the Golden Eagles have added Mustafaa to their football team. Neither the university nor the program has officially announced his addition.

Mustafaa, provided he stays around this time, would be eligible to play immediately in 2015. Getting him to stick for any length of time, though, could prove troublesome.

A three-star member of Oklahoma State’s 2013 recruiting class, Mustafaa signed with the Cowboys in February of that year. Five months later, he left OSU and, two weeks after that, he transferred into Miami. Three months after joining the Hurricanes? He left The U, too.

He did not play anywhere in 2014.
