Nebraska DT Maliek Collins declares for 2016 NFL Draft

Shortly after his Nebraska Cornhuskers topped UCLA in the Foster farms Bowl on Saturday night, Nebraska defensive tackle Maliek Collins announced he had played his final game for the Huskers. Collins announced he is entering the NFL Draft in 2016, joining what will surely be a growing list of underclassmen turning pro.

On the team’s official Twitter account, Collins shared a quick message of thanks to Nebraska fans for the support.

Colins played in all 13 games for Nebraska this past season, in which he totaled 29 tackles (including 14 solo tackles). Collins recorded 2.5 sacks and started 12 games for Nebraska in 2015.
