Clemson’s Shaq Lawson did some trash talking on Oklahoma’s team bus

The animosity is building between Clemson and Oklahoma, and the trash-talking is already taking to the road. Well, sort of.

Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson reportedly made his way onto a team bus carrying Oklahoma players yesterday following a joint luncheon and exchanged some vocal pleasantries with Sooners players.

ESPN‘s Joe Schad reports Clemson is down playing the incident as nothing more than some simple trash talk between players. No physical confrontations or altercations have been reported, but the temperature is rising between Clemson and Oklahoma. Oklahoma players have made a point of taking exception with Clemson’s tradition of adding gravestones to a ceremonial graveyard for top 25 wins. Clemson routed Oklahoma in last season’s Russell Athletic Bowl. There may be a bit of a revenge factor at play here for Oklahoma, but that ultimately will not be what decides who wins this year’s Orange Bowl semifinal game in the College Football Playoff.

Of course, neither will trash talking by either side.
