Alabama RB Ronnie Clark suffers second Achilles injury

Ronnie Clark‘s 2014 season was significantly shortened because of an Achilles injury. Unfortunately for the Alabama running back, it’s lather, rinse, repeat on the injury front.

Citing unnamed sources, al.com is reporting that Clark has again sustained a torn Achilles tendon. Clark reportedly suffered the injury during practice Thursday, and will likely miss the entire 2016 season as a result.

UA officials have thus far declined to address Clark’s status.

A four-star member of the Crimson Tide’s 2014 recruiting class, Clark as rated as the No. 6 player at any position in the state of Alabama. After taking a redshirt as a true freshman, Clark totaled five carries for 20 yards last season.

Al.com notes that “Clark spent time at both safety and running back as a freshman, but has focused on running back full-time since returning from the first Achilles injury.”
