Day after leaving Nebraska, QB AJ Bush moves on to Iowa JUCO

Well that certainly didn’t take long.

Thursday, AJ Bush took to Twitter to announce that he had decided to transfer out of the Nebraska football program. Less than 24 hours later, the quarterback’s father confirmed to the Omaha World-Herald that his son will continue his collegiate playing career at Iowa Western Community College.

As the Iowa school competes at the junior college level, Bush will be eligible to play immediately in 2016.

The 6-4, 225-pound Bush was a three-star 2014 recruit, rated as the No. 44 dual-threat quarterback in the country coming out of high school in Georgia. He also held offers from, among others, Boston College, Cincinnati and Kansas State.

After taking a redshirt his true freshman season, Bush didn’t see the field in 2015.
