It’s official: former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian will join Alabama’s staff as an offensive analyst.
There was never really any question as to the report’s veracity considering people don’t hop planes from Los Angeles to Alabama for fun, but Nick Saban confirmed the news on Monday.

Sarkisian, fired mid-season last year due to lingering alcohol issues, becomes the fifth former head coach on Saban’s staff.
If Alabama's directory is up to date, Sarkisian marks at least 21 analysts/player personnel/ops guys on Saban's staff. Monstrous.

He joins former Florida International head coach Mario Cristobal, former Maryland head coach Mike Lockley, former Michigan State head coach Bobby Williams and, of course, former USC head coach and confirmed grudge holder Lane Kiffin.
