FCS Nicholls State adds pair of FBS transfers

One FCS program Tuesday doubled up on grabbing players from the highest level of college football.

On their respective Twitter machines yesterday, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Tahj Brown and redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Mikhail Hill each announced that they have committed to continuing their playing careers at Nicholls State. Both of the new additions come to the FCS school from the AAC -- Brown from Houston, Hill from Memphis.

As they are dropping down a level of football, both will be eligible to play immediately for the Colonels.

Brown and Hill were each three-star recruits, the latter in 2017 and the former in 2018. Hill played in 13 games in 2018, while Brown played in just one game as a true freshman.

Because of the new redshirt rule instituted by the NCAA last year, Brown was able to take a redshirt for the campaign, leaving him with four years of eligibility remaining.
