Brissett signed, sealed and delivered to Gators

His mother’s protestations notwithstanding, Jacoby Brissett has officially become a member of Florida’s 2011 recruiting class.

The West Palm Beach quarterback, the school announced via a press release, faxed in his signed Letter of Intent Monday morning and will be a Gator in 2011.

“Jacoby will be a good fit in our program,” said head coach Will Muschamp in a statement. “He is an outstanding quarterback and we are excited to have him join the Gator family.”

In addition to UF, Brissett had been considering Miami, Washington and Wisconsin. Brissett verbally committed to the Gators late last week.

According to Rivals.com, Brissett is the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the country.
